This is getting quite complicated and made worse by the fact that my replies to swig-devel bounced. I'm trying to signup now when I'll give a full reply; however troblem is not the license of the php module which I mostly rewrote after Richard Palmer, but the license of the code that swig generates. Izll explain when I sign up. sam -----Original Message----- From: "William Fulton" <william@fultondesigns.co.uk> To: "William S Fulton" <wsf@fultondesigns.co.uk> Cc: "Sam Liddicott" <sam@liddicott.com>; "Xapian Discussion" <xapian-discuss@lists.xapian.org>; swig-devel@lists.sourceforge.net Sent: 23/08/07 12:42 Subject: Re: [Xapian-discuss] Re: [Swig-devel] license issue William S Fulton wrote:> Richard Palmer originally added the php module. Hopefully Richard's > email address still works and he can explain: >His email address bounced and there is no whois record for magicality.org either. Does anyone know how to contact him? It is kind of crucial. We will have to discuss whether we can keep shipping the php modules as it doesn't conform to the all permissive SWIG licence and I don't think having specific licences for individual modules is a workable solution.
