Xapian discuss - Oct 2006 - PS vs PDF?

Currently we build apidoc.ps.  I wonder if everyone would prefer
apidoc.pdf instead.  PDF is compressed internally so comes out smaller,
and the latest generation of PDF viewers (e.g. evince) seem much better
than gv is for PostScript.  And it's probably equally easy to print
either for most users.

PDF certainly seems more useful to me.

In particular, a lot of windows machines can't easily display .ps files,
but have acrobat reader installed, so are fine with .pdf.
