Xapian devel - Jan 2013 - Help

I am new to xapian and I want to contribute to xapian but as I am new to
both xapian and opensource so can anyone help me to start as I am unable to
start.

It will be really helpful if someone can assign me any bug to fix that can
give me a good start and is easy to do.

Akshit ? you should start by reading the HACKING document [1] so you know how to
build Xapian from source and have an idea about how things fit together. Then we
have a "help wanted" page on the wiki [2] which suggests ways to get
involved, particularly some project ideas [3] which include both bite sized
things that are good for getting started and more sizable pieces once you're
comfortable.
