Hi all, my wxruby application handles with data from a Oracle database. But i have problems with the german umlauts (ä,ö,ü). I can write data to the database, but when i''m reading the data from the database, the application doesn''t show the text. The application is running on a windows pc. Should i set some Locale .. ? I believe that Oracle needs an encoding for Text Data, just like MySQL does. You would need to reference the documentation for your database back end, in order to correctly set the encoding options for your data.
