I have recently installed Fedora 10 and have found that I can run all of my Windows applications in Wine... and in general they work perfectly. Even MS Publisher works...however when I recently tried to open a *huge* document (one gig) the application ran out of memory. Though my machine has 3 gigs of RAM... when I start to open the document I see that total memory usage on the machine just goes from 180 megs up to 212 megs...so very little memory is being assigned to the app. I was wondering if there is a way to configure Wine to utilize more of the memory

Wine already will use as much memory as it can, staying within the limits of win32 memory layout and 32-bit app. You should check memory limits (ulimit -a) on your box. Fedora is known to have too low limits which been a source of problems in the past.
