i have sound in KDE, etc, but no sound in Wow. i have both alsa and oss tabs checked in winecfg. suggestions?

gentoo doesnt use pulseaudio i checked if it was installed. i dont think it is using any soudn derver. i had tried with alsa enabled only (even though to use vent i would need both enabled...right?!) and it did not work either.

i emerged it, gives a HUGE list. i thinks its useless however because i dont run wow in KDE, i starts it as its own X server with xinit. i wouldnt have any of these processes running. how should i proceed?
