wine users - Feb 2009 - Why isn't my sound card recognized today?

My sound card was working fine until yesterday. Now I get this when I open
winecfg.
Any ideas? Guesses? Suggestions?

ALSA lib seq_hw.c:457:(snd_seq_hw_open) open /dev/snd/seq failed: Permission
denied

Egad! So I was not. And I never would have guessed. 
Today's Jaunty Studio updates had re-set the audio group permissions.
