Then I went into my config and turned off the option to load the windows registry settings, since I'm using a mounted win98 disk. That stopped the segfaults, but I haven't been able to determine what other havoc it may or may not play with my install. -- You Can Do Anything You Set Your Mind To When You Have Vision, Determination, And An Endless Supply Of Cheap Labor.
I installed the new Wine release of 2004-06-15 on SuSE-Linux 8.1. What I got is this: The first start of Wine fails with a segmentation fault error. The second one succeeds. So I tried it with winfile.exe, wincmd32.exe (Windows Commander), ntmega.exe (MegaCad 4.5). If the programs run, they run. The error occurs immediately after the invocation of wine only. Or never.
