wine users - Oct 2003 - DirectX 9 and Games.

I have Red Hat 9 with latest patches and Nvidia's latest drivers. I 
installed the latest Wine ROM from winehq.com 
(wine-20031016-1rh9winehq). It seems that you cannot install DirectX 9 
for wine. I have installed Call of Duty but it needs DirectX 9 to run. 
This is their demo.

You shouldn't install DirectX 9, its native version wont work on Wine.
Better ask on wine-devel for the needed registry changes to emulate it.

You can't use the microsoft directx with wine; you can only use the directx
that
are shipped with wine. The current wine directx don't support directx 9,
this
API will be supported in the future.
