Hi, Is there an officially endorsed way to store lyrics (synced and/or unsynced) in ogg/vobis audio files? - In 2006, the reply[1] was "no standard, try CMML". - In 2008, the reply[2] was "no standard, try CMML". - In 2011, OggKate[3] was thought up and implemented. The mplayer people rejected the patch for oggkate support because it's ogg only and a reinvention and suggested[4] ASS[4] instead. For MP3 it's easy; there is an unsynced[6] and synced lyrics[7] ID3v2 tag with a simple format description. Has the problem been solved for ogg/vorbis files in the meantime?
