Vorbis - Nov 2006 - Trying the new aotuv version.....

Can someone explain this, I have both version of oggenc and oggenc-aotuv 
installed, wanted to compare theme..

BUT,
when I type the commanded:
rick@KB32bit:~$ oggenc-aotuv -v
OggEnc v1.0.1 (libvorbis 1.0.1)
rick@KB32bit:~$

Why don't I see OggEnc-Aotuv Beta 5...etc

Shared libraries?  It's a problem I've encountered but haven't
tried to resolve yet when building against modified libvorbises.

Plural of libvorbis? libvorbii? libvorbodes?  Have to ask Terry
Pratchett I think.
