Vorbis - Jan 2006 - Appending more data into an existing oggfile

Hi All,
   
  I want to add more data into an already recorded oggfile. do we have any
special APIs for this case in libvorbis? or do i need to do avoid generating
headers and appending the data pages into the file? in that case, I must use the
same stream number that is used when the file is recorded for the first time?

cat newfile.ogg >> oldfile.ogg

This is likely to be problematic if any of the serial numbers overlap, I think.
