Compiling libao on a system w/linux2.4.2 & glibc-2.0 (I think), I get an error. gcc -DPACKAGE=\"libao\" -DVERSION=\"0.6.0\" -DSIZEOF_SHORT=2 -DSIZEOF_INT=4 -DSIZEOF_LONG=4 -DHAVE_SYS_SOUNDCARD_H=1 -I. -I. -I../../.. -I../../../include -O20 -ffast-math -D_REENTRANT -fsigned-char -DAO_PLUGIN_PATH=\"/usr/local/lib/ao\" -c ao_alsa.c -fPIC -DPIC -o ao_alsa.lo In file included from ao_alsa.c:33: /usr/local/include/sys/asoundlib.h:25: linux/asound.h: No such file or directory /usr/local/include/sys/asoundlib.h:26: linux/asequencer.h: No such file or directory asound.h and asequencer.h are not on my system. I notice that the file with difficulty is ao_alsa.c. Does libao depend upon ALSA libs? What is the > missing ingredient? For some reason the alsa detection is not working that correctly... open config.status, change the lines %@HAVE_ALSA_TRUE@%#%g s%@HAVE_ALSA_FALSE@%%g to %@HAVE_ALSA_TRUE@%%g s%@HAVE_ALSA_FALSE@%#%g then run config.status, type make and you're set - without the alsa plugin of course, but you can't use it anyway as you don't have alsa installed. :) So long, David -- ___ Name: David 'Superkind' Roden / / _______ Mail: superkind@uni-neukoelln.de / /_/ ____/ ICQ: 3017094 \___ __/ IRCNet: #Berlin ==== \_/ ===== Logout fascism! --- >8 ---- List archives: http://www.xiph.org/archives/ Ogg project homepage: http://www.xiph.org/ogg/ To unsubscribe from this list, send a message to 'vorbis-request@xiph.org' containing only the word 'unsubscribe' in the body.
