Hello again! As promised, here's a completed package of OggSplit. It's configured with autoconf and automake (use autogen.sh) and there are debian build rules. In it's current state it's quite useable, although there are certain internal things which could be improved (nothing critical however). There are of course bugs, so I encourage everyone to try breaking the tool with whatever input files you can think of. I suggest the tool is included in ogg-tools. In vorbis-tools it wouldn't make much sense since it's completely generic for Ogg. //Philip Jägenstedt -------------- next part -------------- A non-text attachment was scrubbed... As such, I had to patch it up with vim to UTF-8. The fixed version is available at http://www.xiph.org/~comatoast/files/defused-README.gz . Similarly for http://www.xiph.org/~comatoast/files/AUTHORS.gz and http://www.xiph.org/~comatoast/files/ChangeLog.gz . The obvious reason is, that it is not capable of representing the € (euro currency sign) and almost all countries using ISO8859-1 introduced the new currency a few years back. Now, Windows is using its proprietary codepage, in Western Europe usually 1252, and most Unix-based operating systems have switched to UTF-8 as the default encoding. After ISO8859-1 has been used as a de facto standard for most text files for quite a long time, we are back to a state, where it is no more possible to use non-ASCII characters in a plain text file and expect it to be readable on all systems :-/ Tor

==================================================================EASY and FREE access to your email anywhere: http://Mailreader.com/ ==================================================================
--- >8 ---- List archives: http://www.xiph.org/archives/ Ogg project homepage: http://www.xiph.org/ogg/ To unsubscribe from this list, send a message to 'vorbis-dev-request@xiph.org' containing only the word 'unsubscribe' in the body. Looks like a useful tool, and much simpler than oggmerge. I'm using a web-based frontend to read and write mails and there is not much I can do with the encoding that software is using :-/ Tor
