You need libogg 1.0 to use libvorbis 1.0. It's likely you've got an old
version installated somewhere, taking precendence over the 1.0 version if you
have that installed.

        I am having some trouble when compiling libvoribis-1.0. It bombs out 
when compiling the examples dir. The output::
