Compression for tinc works exactly the same under Windows as under Linux
or any other OS. It will not work if you use the TCPOnly option, and the
best setting depends on your bandwidth and CPU. On a slow CPU, try 1 or
10. On a fast one, 9 and 11 are probably better options. But in
practice, you don't gain much with compression. If you want to transfer
a lot of files over the VPN, it's more efficient to zip the files and
then transfer them over the VPN with compression disabled.
