Hello, Just a very quick message to let you know that I have definitely switched to YCbCr color space as YCbCr is better, more precision.I have updated my demo page: http://nhwcodec.blogspot.com/ . Any comment on this new version from the Xiph Community would be very appreciated, as I am developing alone (it really took some time to switch to YCbCr...).Also (as it was said), I am not totally sure that it is a polite way to keep posting my project updates on the Theora channel, and maybe the opinion of a Xiph core member on the subject would be very welcome? Many thanks again, Raphael -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... URL: http://lists.xiph.org/pipermail/theora/attachments/20121127/c81573de/attachment.htm

Open source and royalty-free video codec development are definitely on-topic for this list. The only particular suggestion I have is that you learn git and put up a repository. In addition to posting binaries, a public version control tree makes it easier for other developers to keep track of your work and try out the code. Cheers, -r
Hello, Just a very quick message, if it could be of interest I have made a new version of my codec.I have improved the color balance (a little), and I have also corrected a bug that appeared on some very few images with the change to YCbCr (I just correct the U comp, I have only seen this bug on the U component for now)... Many thanks, Raphael 2012/11/27 Raphael Canut <nhwcodec at gmail.com>> Hello, > > Just a very quick message to let you know that I have definitely switched > to YCbCr color space as YCbCr is better, more precision.I have updated my > demo page: http://nhwcodec.blogspot.com/ . > > Many thanks again, > Raphael >-------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... Hello, Just a quick message to let you know that I have definitely and really corrected the little bug on U and V components, in fact it was a little error in the CLIP( ) function for U and V in the decoder... I have also corrected a bug in the -h1 quality setting.
