You can use the "preview" functionality to take a canvas grab of the
video and then subsequently upload that canvas grab as a jpeg or png per
firefoxes supported canvas and XHR functions.
Its actually a bit easier than it sounds. See

normal video canvas grabbing examples on the web and then examples of
saving a canvas to a file or to a web post:
