Syslinux - Nov 2003 - Memdisk image size limitation?

All,
Quick question.  What would be a good rule of thumb for the size limitations
of a bootable image for MEMDISK.  Not involving network dowload of the
image, but relation of the image size to total RAM size.  Let's say I had
1GB of RAM, is there a size my image should be limited to?  Does MEMDISK
have a maximum image size?  Thanks.

The limit is 4 GB.  It depends mostly on what OS you're using... I have 
used an image which pushed a 256 MB machine into having less than 16 MB 
left, and found a bug that way...
