Syslinux - Apr 2003 - SYSLINUX DEPENDENCIES

Hi,
?
I wonder if you can please help. When I run syslinux ?s /dev/fd0 I get the
following message
./syslinux: No such file or directory
(I am running syslinux from the download with no modification.)
Could you please tell me what is going on? And how to I make syslinux work?
Does syslinux depend on any other programs or libraries? There is no mention
of dependencies at all

SYSLINUX 2.02 or later requires "mtools", and like all other programs
it
requires libraries.
