OK.
I personally spent a lot of time to reach the actual logo we have in out
FTOSX.
Our logo it is really complicated to be create in a boot floopy.
Look it:
http://www.futuretg.com/img/ftlogo_2003.png
I create it under the Mac ... and slowly decrease the color depth.
I check for you our actual logo. It uses "DirectClass", not
PseudoClass
as I comment before.
However, PseudoClass have a role.
Another role is to decress color-depth up you reach a size image and you
can run the command
pngtopnm syslinux.png | ppmtolss16 \#000000=0 \#d0d0d0=7
\#f6f6f6=15 > syslogo.lss
I take about two weeks or more to reach a good result.
You can get our actual boot logo from: http://www.rpmparadaise.org/
inside the package: installer-images.rpm
To decrease color-depth under Linux, I advice: "display" from
ImageMagick
http://www.imagemagick.com/www/display.html
Therefore, playing with color decrease and doing tests you can reach the
result you are looking for.
"PseudoClass" play a role but color decrease is the detail that will
help you.
Thanks,
Giovanni
