[Speex-dev] Find a processor for a VOIP project
Hello, I'll start a voip project, but i don't know which DSP is more indicate for the project. Any one can help me??? Which processor is more indicate for speex use ??? Thank you!! Rafael V. Gon?alves
I would say that any ARM processor that supports the ARM5E instruction set will be perfect for you. Speex has a lot of optimization for that instruction set. ARM 926EJS with ARM5E or ARM11 with ARMV6 would be good for VOIP. Could you please specify also the needed clock speed. What about ARM-Cortex? loolks the M3 versions available so far are too slow, but starting from what speed should it work? Thanks, Alain
