Speex dev - Mar 2005 - When decrypt using SPEEXDEC it's impossible decrypt to 8bit, the only way is 16bit.

Dear speex developer,

I have a problem:
I use SPEEXENC on my mono 8bit 11024 Khz Wav - works OK
When decrypt using SPEEXDEC it's impossible decrypt to 8bit, the only way is
16bit.
                        
Is there any help?

Just use "sox" or whatever sound converter is available on your
OS. ...or submit a patch to fix speexdec.
