Speex dev - Oct 2004 - speex under PocketPC

Are there any caveats when trying to get speex running under PocketPC? 
I'm under fairly tight bandwidth constraints and would like to avoid 
going AMR.  Is it about as simple as setting up a project and running, 
or is it a more involved port?

http://corecodec.org/projects/betaplayer could be used as a good basis. 
Its playing Ogg Vorbis already nicely, i dont see any problems to adapt 
Speex also.
