[Speex-dev] Force mono encoding of a stereo file
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hello For some reasons, I need to encode in mono a stereo wave file, as with the --downmix option from oggenc. I searched in speexenc man page and in the on line documentation, unsuccessfully. Of course I could first use something like sox to down mix my file, but it would be more practical to have an option directly in speexenc. - -- RIQUER Script.Fan(ix) Vincent Would that my hand were as swift as my tongue. -- Alfieri -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.2.4 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Using GnuPG with Thunderbird - http://enigmail.mozdev.org iD8DBQFA0sw3PBg9cEs0JaERAtMMAJ9pA+mxD8oc2Fhbzlwo7pl3B5RdPQCeM/Dn v8ZScFGJoEM8OibO7DvZFxw=4mKt -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----
I don't have that option right now, but even if you encode in stereo, all you lose is about 1-2 kbps (and you can always force decoding in mono).
