Speex dev - Aug 2004 - speexenc and speexdec

When I use speexenc appplication to encode a wav file and then speexdec to
decode it the decoded wav is bigger than the original, why this happens?

Probably has something to do with the fact that Speex encodes whole
frames so the output has to have a multiple of 160 samples (for
narrowband).
