Rsyslog and "Error while reading from Linux ethertap device /dev/net/tun: File descriptor in bad state"
Hi, I recently had a machine filling up its harddisk with syslog and tinc pilling up milions of messages like this: "Error while reading from Linux ethertap device /dev/net/tun: File descriptor in bad state" I remembered that there was a difference between rsyslog and other loggers, where one of those was skipping those messages, and simply was displaying: "this message has been

Dear all, I have a repository file (let's call it repo.txt) that contain two columns like this: # tag value AAA 0.2 AAT 0.3 AAC 0.02 AAG 0.02 ATA 0.3 ATT 0.7 Given another query vector > qr <- c("AAC", "ATT") I would like to find the corresponding value for each query above, yielding: 0.02 0.7 However, I want to avoid slurping whole repo.txt

is zpool export/import | faster than rsync or cp
I need to move data from one zpool to another, lock stock and barrel, Being from linux background my instinct was to use rsync. But then I remembered seeing the `export/import options in man zpool.. And I''ve seen mention of them here too, but didn''t pay attention since I''d noticed no need yet. Now I''m wondering if the export/import sub commands might not be

Problem with save or/and if (I think but maybe not ...)
Hi, I recently discovered the R program and I thought it could be useful to me. I have to analyse data saved as .Px file (x between 0 and 8 - .P0 files have 18 lines at the beginning that I have to skip). New files are generated everyday. This is my strategy : In order to analyse the data, I first want to copy the new data in a database in MySQL (which already contains the previous data). So

Asterisk Fax
Hi, I have read a lot about the thread of faxing support in Asterisk as well as spanDSP. However, either I don't fully understand other people's applications or may be what I'm trying to do is different from what others are trying to do. I have a very simple setup. I have an asterisk server with a TE110P connected to the PSTN via T1 PRI (Asterisk A). I have another asterisk

A question about R environment
Hi all, I created environment "mytoolbox" by : mytoolbox <- new.env(parent=baseenv()) Is there anyway I put it in the search path ? If you need some background : In a project, I often write some small functions, and load them into my workspace directly, so when I list the objects with ls(), it looks pretty messy. So I am wondering if it is possible to creat an

CEL for attented transfer
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hi list, I'm trying to use CEL to display channel information in real time. It works fine for simple calls, blind transfers, or SIP attended transfers (initiated from the SIP phone). My problem is for Asterisk attended transfers (atxfer as configured in features.conf). The scenario is: . phone 107 calls phone 100, . 100 dials the atxfer code,

[R-win] Bug 17159 - recursive dir.create() fails on windows shares due to permissions (MMaechler: Resending to R-windows@R-pr..)
That solution works fine for the use case where each user has a network based home directory and needs to run R from there, but doesn?t help with my situation. I need to be able to support arbitrary network based paths in arbitrary numbers ? so mapping drives isn?t an option. I have found a workaround using symbolic links to the network share created within the temporary folder, but would much

Is H323 dying?
Hello, I just downloaded and installed the latest version of asterisk under Fedora. (had it under FreeBSD but was having TOOO many problems) After my installation i noticed that the channel H323 was not included ( I remember that i did not have to install it under freeBSD) but I have seen that SIP and IAX are supported though. So i am wondering: Does asterisk consider H323 so achaic that it does
