summary of a list
Hello,
I'm using the following for loop to find regression curves using a list of functions (formList), a list of starting
values (startList), uppervalues (upperList) and lower values (lowerList).
A sample of the list of function I use in the loop is the following:
FormList <- list(PTG.P ~ fz1(Portata, a, b), PTG.P ~ fz2(Portata, a, b), PTG.P ~ fz3(Portata,a, b, d, e),

plots and text to the same output file
Hello,
I would like to save different plots and some text (like summaries, AIC, ...) on the same file.
I've read the e-mails entitled "Output results to a single postscript document" written some days ago and I've tried
to use the function odfInsertPlot() in the package "odfWeave" but it doesn't work on my computer (I've seen that

plotting the result of a nonlinear regression
Hello,
to plot the result of a singular non linear regression (using nls) I usually use the function plotfit, for example:
r.PTG.V<-nls(PTG.P~ fz1(Portata, a,b), data=dati, start=list(a=10, b=10), nls.control(maxiter=200), algorithm='port',
trace=TRUE, na.action=na.omit, lower=list(a=0, b=10), upper=list(a=100, b=100))
plotfit(r.PTG.V)
I tried to use the function plotfit on the

odfWeave: odt-file damaged
Dear all,
I am doing my first steps with odfWeave.
After running the r code (see below), I am trying to open the ODF-document
with open office, but I am getting the error message:
"The file is damaged, but it can be repaired". If I confirm the question and
repair the file with open office, I can open it with the desired output,
which seems to be fine.

odfWeave: Trouble Getting the Package to Work
Hello All,
Have recently started learning Sweave and Knitr. Am now trying to learn odfWeave as well. Things went pretty smoothly with Sweave and Knitr but I'm having some trouble with odfWeave.
My understanding was that odfWeave should work in pretty much the same way as Sweave. With odfWeave, you set up an input .odt file in a folder, run that file through the odfWeave function, and then

Hello R users,
I found the odfWeave package to create an odf document. It seems to be a
very nice tool.
So i tried to used it to create a report with multiple plot:
I create an odt file with some code inside:
I connect to a mysql database
I get a list of projects
foreach project I would like to make a plot (a map exactly)
then in a R console I use the odfweave (inFile, outFile) function.

Baffled: triggering error message with an sd result in odfWeave?
I hope someone can point out my stupid error, because I'm baffled.
I am calculating a bunch of variable values and then placing them in a
document using odfWeave tags.
This is working very nicely for every spot except one.
One of the values I calculate is traindev:
traindev <- if (trainlength>0) round(sd(trainscores, na.rm=T),1) else ""
when I try to insert this traindev

issue with odfWeave running on Windows XP; question about installing packages under Linux
Good morning R community,
I have two questions (and a comment):
1)
A problem with odfWeave. I have an odf document
with a table that spans multiple pages. Each cell in the table is
populated using \sexpr{<R stuff>}. This worked fine on my
own machine (windows 7 box using any R2.x.y, for x>=11) and
on a colleagues machine (Windows XP box running R2.11.1).
However, on a third machine

I'm working with windows and R GUI and I'm trying to generate an automatic repport using odfWeave.
I have taken the basic template available on line at : http://www.biostat.uzh.ch/services/templates.html
which is SampleOdf.odt I've imported the package "odfWeave" and the corresponding library. And then I run :

Running odfWeave on its own examples.odt
I'm trying to see if I can help some Windows users, but in WinXP and Win7 virtual machines
and in a Win 7-64 real environment, after extracting the odfWeave examples.odt from the
package and putting it in my working directory ("My Documents") where R can see and unpack
it, I get "unable to convert 'examples.odt' to the current locale". I've tried some
