help to split a ID column in a data.frame and create a new ID column
Dear Researchers,
I have a data.frame with 2 columns like this:
mydf <-
data.frame(value=c(1,2,3,4,5),ID=c("Area_1","Area_2","Area_3","Area_4","Area_5"))
> mydf
value ID
1 1 Area_1
2 2 Area_2
3 3 Area_3
4 4 Area_4
5 5 Area_5
I need to convert the *ID *in the following version
> mydf
value ID newID

t.test in a loop
Hi All,
I've been having a little trouble with creating a loop that will run a a
series of t.tests for inspection,
Below is the code i've tried, and some checks i've looked at.
I've used the get(paste()) idea as i was told previously that the use of the
eval should try and be avoided.
I've run a single syntax to check that my systax is correct and works
without any problems

requeridos.

wireframe - add data points
Hello all,
I’m trying to add some data points to a wireframe. X an Y axis are independent variables, Z axis is predicted probability. I’d like to add the original data points on which the predicted probabilities are based to the wireframe. I’ve followed some of the previous post on this but get stuck :
## first part yields the wireframe##

Problems using gamlss to model zero-inflated and overdispersed count data: "the global deviance is increasing"
Dear all,
I am using gamlss (Package gamlss version 4.0-0, R version 2.10.1, Windows XP Service Pack 3 on a HP EliteBook) to relate bird counts to habit variables. However, most models fail because “the global deviance is increasing” and I am not sure what causes this behaviour. The dataset consists of counts of birds (duck) and 5 habit variables measured in the field (n= 182). The dependent

Question on zero-inflated Poisson count data with repeated measures design - glmm.ADMB
Dear R community,
I have some questions regarding the analysis of a zero-inflated count dataset and repeated measures design.
The dataset is arranged as follows :
Unit of analysis: point - these are points were bird were counted during a certain amount of time. In total we have about 175 points. Each point is located within a certain habitat fragment (here: "site"= A-B-C-D-..., in
