R INSTALL *.tgz fails (minor docs/feature bug) (PR#652)
R Team,
I was attempting to install Lindsey's rmutil.tgz and other
non-CRAN packages using 'R INSTALL', for example 'R INSTALL rmutil.tgz'
after downloading 'rmutil.tgz' from Lindsey's page (as linked from
r-project.org page).
Directly using the compressed file as 'R INSTALL rmutil.tgz'
failed, though the shell help from 'R INSTALL --help'

gauss.hermite?
The search at www.r-project.org mentioned a function
"gauss.hermite{rmutil}". However, 'install.packages("rmutil")'
produced, 'No package "rmutil" on CRAN.' How can I find the current
status of "gauss.hermite" and "rmutil"?
Thanks,

I am searching for an R-Package that does an exentsion of the Mantel-Haenszel test for ordinal data as described in Liu and Agresti (1996) "A Mantel-Haenszel type inference for cummulative odds ratios". in Biometrics. I see packages such as Epi that perform it for binary data and derives a varaince for it using the Robbins and Breslow variance method. As well as another pacakge

beta binomial distribution installation
Hello,
Thank you for your response. I need to install RankTail package since it contains the beta binomial distribution, CDF and inverse CDF in the usual form which I need to use. However rmutil package contain unusual forms for these functions. So it is easier for me to deal with the forms are contained in RankTail.
I tried to install bioconductor package, using the following commands but I

Installing Lindsey's packages
Dear r-helpers,
I downloaded http://popgen.unimaas.nl/~jlindsey/rcode/rmutil.tar (it
was originally .tgz, but got unzipped by my browser).
Can anyone give me detailed instructions on installing this and
Lindsey's other packages on R version 2.4.0 (2006-10-03)---(powerpc-
apple-darwin8.7.0, locale: C)?

rmutil parameters for Pareto distribution
In https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pareto_distribution, it is clear what the
parameters are for the pareto distribution: *xmin *the scale parameter and
*a* the shape parameter.
I am using rmutil to generate random deviates from a pareto distribution.
It says in the documentation that the probabilty density of the pareto

The Pareto distribution has density

Least Cost Routing
Hello,
does anyone know of a good calling card solution for asterisk that is
able to do lcr?
Does astcc do this? I've been searching around and I can find some lcr
modules/apps but none that incorporate prepaid card functionality.

MOS Scores and LCR
Is there any tool that can do LCR for Asterisk but also take into
account MOS scores?
Is it possible to automatically generate MOS scores on random "calls"
so as to keep an updated database on a per provider, per destination,
per time-of-day score? Hopefully, with that information we can create
a better LCR module or script?
Thanks,
Daniel

beta binomial distribution installation
Hi,
I did a quick search for other packages that provide the beta binomial
distribution and found "rmutil".

The package has the CDF (pbetabinom) and inverse CDF (qbetabinom) among
other functions.
