Cross-validation -> lift curve
Hi all, I'd like to do cross-validation on lm and get the resulting lift curve/table (or, alternatively, the estimates on 100% of my data with which I can get lift). If such a thing doesn't exist, could it be derived using cv.lm, or would we need to start from scratch? Thanks! -- Eric Siegel, Ph.D. President Prediction Impact, Inc. What is my replication unit? Lmer for binary longitudinal data with blocks and two treaments.
First I would like to say thank you for taking the time to read it.Here is my problem. I am running a lmer analysis for binary longitudinal (repeated measures) data. Basically, I manipulated fruits and vegetation to two levels each(present and absent) and I am trying to access how these factors affect mice foraging behavior. The design consist of 12 plots, divided in 3 blocks. So each block

kerberized ssh on Mac OS X?
Sigh. Is anyone here working getting K5 kerberized ssh onto Mac OS X? I'm having trouble building with the Apple krb5 and OS X include files - seems fp.h gets sucked in by something, and it's got it's own idea of what "log()" is... Is there a better place to ask this question? Be gentle, please. Thanks. --paw Pat Wilson paw at ucsd.edu

[Bridge] I want to RTFM -- so where's the FM?
Hi all, I'm looking for documentation about the internals of the bridging software. We're putting together a new chip that incorporates, among other things, a core for a managed switch and a processor that will be running Linux. I wanted to have the Linux code (among other things) field SNMP requests and configure the managed switch. I'm hoping that it's as simple as

smb.conf for Windows clients
So, I'm trying to paw through the long set of smb.conf options - and it's rather daunting. I'm wondering what smb.conf options are most important/appropriate/common for mostly Windows XP/7/(possibly v8) clients. “doveadm mailbox” command fails with UTF-8 mailboxes
Hello, I?ve got a strange misconfiguration where the following command: doveadm -f pager mailbox status -u spamutf8 'messages vsize guid' INBOX 'INBOX.*' ? fails with error code 68, saying that it can?t find one of the mailboxes. (It lists the user?s other mailboxes.) The name of the mailbox in question is saved to disk in UTF-8 rather than mUTF-7, but strace shows that doveadm

ANCOVA with defined error terms
I am trying to run an ANCOVA with defined error terms. Thus I have to use AOV and not lm. my response variable is proportion of mice paw prints on track plates. These plates were placed on plots that had vegetation and fruit manipulated to two levels each (present or absent), and were sampled monthly for 14 months (repeated measures). The fully crossed factor design was also blocked. My sample
