I have tried to find this out some other way, but unsuccessful I have to

Different cp values in rpart() using plotcp() and printcp()

I have a question regarding cp values in rpart(). When I use plotcp() I get
a figure with cp values on the x-axsis, but then I use printcp() the cp
values in that list are different from the values in the figure by
plotcp(). Does someone know why?

includes some NA. I tried to use na.roughfix but then i get an error

Savitzky-Golay smoothing for reflectance data
I got a question from a fellow PhD student that work with spectrum
analysis in Excel and now he has lots of spectrums that needs to be
smoothed, which would be nice to be able to do in batch.
Is there an R package that can do:
Savitzky-Golay smoothing for reflectance spectral data
or a function that does something similar.

pasting indexes to variables within loops
Hi all,
Hope someone can help me. I start out with a matrix called haplo with 600 rows and two columns. To start with, the elements of the matrix are character strings of 20 numbers. I then want to create separate objects, called ha1-ha600, that are the concatenated 20 + 20 numbers, as numeric. I am having no trouble doing anything except getting the index i to paste to the object ha(i) in

building packages: hhc.exe not found using xp
Hello,
Apologies in advance if this should be in R-devel, not Rhelp. I did read through the R-devel thread started by Gabor Grothendieck in September of this year - I am getting the exact same error using a new computer that has XP installed, not vista, complaining that the file hhc.exe is not found. I have downloaded the hhc.exe to HTML Help Workshop dir in Program Files but it says that

write.table file="file.txt" help
Hi all,
I have a R script that creates several input files for an analysis
program. It loops through the matrix read into R and picks out
submatrices and then creates a separate output file for each
submatrix. The loop works great, but I am having trouble getting all
the separate output files written.
The line I have is:

Using unicode symbol has unexpected results in levels of factor object
Dear all,
When I use a unicode symbol in the labels for a factor object, the corresponding level does not display as expected. However, using levels() on the factor returns the desired output. I noticed the discrepancy when the legend labels from a call to ggplot() did not display the desired symbol, but an explicitly built legend using the same labels did.
Example (I am trying to get the less

npindex: fitted values of the function itself?
Dear list,
I am using the np package. With the npindex function I estimate a
semiparametric single index model using the method of Klein-Spady.
P(Z=1|X) = G(X?b)
I don?t have any problems to calculated the fitted values and standard
errors X?b:
bw = npindexbw(xdat=x, ydat=y_bi, method="kleinspady", nmulti=2)
