Questions about a working Samba PDC
Is there anyway to have roaming profiles OFF by default? If I add a user to a machine, I always have to go and set them to a local profile. Is there anyway to do groups? When sharing files or printers, I would rather add a group than each individual user. I have one Windows XP Pro client and when I do sharing permissions it comes up with this search interface and it can't find any of the

ActiveRecord-2.2.2, association preloading, joins and order parameter weirdness
Hello RoR Groupies, I''m seeing some weird ActiveRecord-2.2.2 SQL generation when doing eager association/preloading and using joins and ordering by said join table. Here''s an example: class Photo < ActiveRecord::Base end class User < ActiveRecord::Base has_one :headshot, :class_name => "Photo" end class Mail < ActiveRecord::Base belongs_to :user end

Ideas for Rails Shirt Graphics
I''ve had a couple ideas for Ruby on Rails shirt graphics for a little while now: 1. "Fuck You" superimposed over, oh, probably a Ruby gem. Or Rails of some sort. 2. "Ruby on Rails" superimposed over rails of cocaine. Maybe also with a graphic of a crazed looking coder. Anybody got graphics? Or can make them? Heh! Joe -- Posted via http://www.ruby-forum.com/.

San Francisco Rails Pay Rates?
Howdy. I''m curious if anyone has a sense of what the typical Rails contract (W2) rates are for Rails developers in the San Francisco area. Assume the typical requirements of 2-3 years Rails experience, with 5+ years general development experience. From my experience in the Texas market, the rates are $40-55. But I understand the cost of living in SF to be _much_ higher (some sites
