Sweave Makefile issue
Dear R-specialists,
I am trying to create a Makefile that will first convert all my .Rnw
files into .tex files and then, that will run the LaTeX compiler to
produce a pdf document. This issue has been discussed before. Hence,
I've basically adapted a Makefile I found at
http://n4.nabble.com/R-Sweave-R-and-complex-latex-projects-td810020.html#a810023
to make it compatible with a Windows

cygwin script for Sweave
below is a very simple bash script to run Sweave from a cygwin terminal, run pdflatex on
the generated .tex file, and then view the resulting .pdf output.
i usually use cygwin when i am (forced to be on) Windoze, but i found a few issues
with paths that this script works around.
pdfview, used in the script, is simply:

Working comfortably with (X)Emacs + Sweave
Dear List,
I am trying to become more familiar with Sweave at the moment, beacuse
I am convinced that it will eventually make my life easier. However,
I have not found anything relevant in the mail archives about the
following problem.
Both the article in R-News and the Sweave FAQ suggest that Emacs would
be a great development environment for working with Sweave. So far, it
doesn't seem to

87668 fails on Windows 10 with "pdflatex not found"
I see there have been a number of tweaks to the document build
recently (87650, 87654, 87658, 97660, 97661, etc.)
I tried building 87668 today on Windows 10 and received the error
below. Is this related?
Thank you,

basic sweave question
I am trying to learn the basics of Sweave so I read some things and a
friend gave me his Rnw file
to play with. I am able to do R CMD Sweave mark-example.Rnw. That works.
But,
then when I do latex mark-example.tex, I get the message below. I looked
in the archives
and Martin Morgan mentioned something in 2004 in terms of making sure
that latex is
looking at where Sweave.sty is but I am unsure

87668 fails on Windows 10 with "pdflatex not found"
The builder runs tools::texi2pdf() on the vignettes. Does that give the
same error for you? Do earlier revisions work?

Sweave and Miktex (Sweave.sty not found)
Hi all,
I know from googling that this is a common problem; I've just tried what I
understand to be the common solutions to know avail -- maybe I'm just
confused.
I installed Miktex 2.8 -- it seems to be working fine.
I'm using this demo document: http://www.stat.berkeley.edu/~houston/demo.Rnw
I've copied the Sweave.sty file into at this point multiple places on the

how to use \Sexpr{} with sweave
I'm trying to learn Sweave. So far things are going well with the chunks of code identified by << >>=
But I'm having trouble with the in-line text use of \Sexpr.
Here is a short example .Rnw file:
\documentclass[12pt]{article}
\usepackage[margin=1.25in]{geometry}
\usepackage{graphicx}
\usepackage{Sweave}
\begin{document}

Sweave and kile
Dear R-users,
I want to give a try to Sweave and Latex but I am having some problems
compiling my .Rnw files within Kile. I have followed the recommendations
given in http://tolstoy.newcastle.edu.au/R/e5/help/08/10/4277, but they do
not seem to address my particular problem.
I am using R 2.11.0 and Kile v 2.0.83 on an OpenSUSE11.2 installation (KDE
4.3 environment). According to the log (see

To Rd2pdf, yes, mostly bug fixes for some rare usages. Some more changes
are in the making, also for texi2pdf (but that has not been touched yet).

Rename output file in Swaeve and Tex
HI,
I am working on R and Latex.
R CMD Sweave Test.Rnw (this generates Rnw.Tex file )
R CMD pdflatex Test.tex (It generated Test.pdf)
Is there any way to change the name of of output file (Test.pdf). I want it
to pass the output file name as parameter.
R CMD Sweave Test.Rnw Output_File
R CMD pdflatex Output_File.tex
So output file name will be Output_File.pdf

including Sweave tangled code in '.Rnw' document
Hello List,
I have been using Sweave for my homework this last quarter and have been
very impressed at how much time and effort it saves me. I, however, have
run up against a problem which I have not been able to solve using any of
the Sweave/LaTeX tricks I know. I work through my homework one problem at a
time, typesetting equations and writing R code, etc. and occasionally use

Problem compiling Rnw file
Dear R list,
I'm using R 2.15.2 with TeX Live 2009 and ESS 12.09 . I have a R
project in the '/home/r/Documents/myproj/', which is my working
directory (where I have the .Rnw file). Inside the document I have
several "setwd()" to collect the datasets I use.
After I compile from the terminal using "R CMD Sweave myproj.Rnw", I

Sweave
I'm trying to (re)learn Sweave and run into some problems. I use now ubuntu

Slowly getting upto speed on ess. I have a complete (hopefully) .Rnw file,
but the resulting .tex
will not compile. The file does not contain anything exotic, but it produces
pdf figures, and that
is where the problems come:
