odfWeave produces output file that OO can't open
Dear R-helpers,
I'm trying to learn how to use odfSweave.
Here is my source file (in /Users/mk/myTeach/2010-1-7720/odfWeave):

odfWeave - How to Insert eps rather than png
If you create plots and use odfWeave to create an odf text document, the
default for figures is png bitmap graphics. The only way I've found to
insert eps graphics is to first create the eps graphic using the
postscript driver and then use odfInsertPlot. I've tried to use
getImageDefs and setImageDefs but I get an empty plot. Could someone
show an example?

multiple plot in odfWeave
Hello R users,
I found the odfWeave package to create an odf document. It seems to be a
very nice tool.
So i tried to used it to create a report with multiple plot:
I create an odt file with some code inside:
I connect to a mysql database
I get a list of projects
foreach project I would like to make a plot (a map exactly)
then in a R console I use the odfweave (inFile, outFile) function.

odfWeave: Some questions about potential formatting options
Hello All,
Learning to use the odfWeave package. I really like the package. It has good documentation, makes some very nice looking tables, and seems to have lots of options for customizing output.
There are a few things I'd like to do that don't seem to be covered in the documentation though. So I'm not sure if they're possible or not.
Here's a list of some things I'd

odfWeave: in multi-page plots only last page appears in document
Dear all,
Max, first of all, many thanks for providing the odfWeave package.
My problem: Whenever I have multiple plots in one single chunk of my
ODF file, only the last plot gets shown. The problem can be reproduced
with this toy example (to be used in an ODF file together with
odfWeave -- I'm using the newest version 0.7.3):

Errors when trying to open odfWeave documents
Hello
I tried the odfWeave package today, by running the formatting.odt and
example.odt files that are included with the package.
They both ran fine, but when I try to open them in my OpenOffice
(OpenOffice 3.1.1 on Kubuntu 9.10) I get an error "Format error
discovered in the file in sub-document content.xml at 1293,124(row,col)."
I also tried to open them in MS Word 2003 (Windows

odfWeave Version 0.4.4
Version 0.4.4 of odfWeave is available from CRAN. A Windows binary
should be available shortly.
This version requires base R version 2.3.1 or greater.
Changes from the last version include
- Non-English character sets are handled better. For example, Chinese
characters can be included in R code. See the file "testCases.odt" in
the examples directory for an example

odfWeave UTF-8 error and latin characters
Hello R masters,
I have sent this same message to other lists and none so far could give some
light. I was trying to use odfWeave to generate a report from R and Im
getting an error that I think is related to latin characters. I looked
around and did find some stuff related to this problem about Sweave

Possible buglet (wart ?) of odfWeave 0.7.6 (with workaround)
Dear List,
I have had problems inserting some (not all !) figures via odfWeave
(using print(someLatticeFunction)...). The figure was correctly
displayed in a R device window but the resulting ODF document displayed
the correct space for the figure and an empty frame with a "broken
image" icon and a "read error" mention.
Exploration of the odf (.odt, in my case) file showed

odfWeave examples not working
Hi,
I'm currently taking a look at possibilities to report my results, produced
by R.
After looking at LaTex, I'm now considering the odf format, as most people
at my
company work with MS Word. So using odfWeave would be my best bet probably.
But if I run some examples from the odfWeave package, I cant open the output
in Open Office:

caret's Kappa for categorical resampling
Hello,
When evaluating different learning methods for a categorization problem with
the (really useful!) caret package, I'm getting confusing results from the
Kappa computation. The data is about 20,000 rows and a few dozen columns,
and the categories are quite asymmetrical, 4.1% in one category and 95.9% in
the other. When I train a ctree model as:
model <- train(dat.dts,
