Ruby variable that embeds html tags
This seems very simple, but I can''t quite get it. Probably because I''m just starting out with RoR. My view has a slew of labels and text fields; many are "required": <%= f.text_field :screen_name %> <span class="required_field">Required field</span> (The "required_field" class turns the text red and smaller.) I''d like to

Validations continued
I simply can''t figure this out. I have been reading and re-reading Agile book and wiki.rubyonrails.org - all sorts of validation methods and still, it doesn''t work. Controller code def create @client = Client.new(params[:client]) if @client.save! flash[:notice] = ''Client was successfully created.'' redirect_to :action =>

voice prompt repository
I was wondering if there would be any interest or support out there for an IVR voice prompt repository, a la atrpms but for voice prompts instead of rpms. I was thinking of something that collected the meta data such as spoken text, gender, file size, speaker ID, language, duration, encoding, MD5, etc. prompts could also be organized into collections almost like IVR themes where a complete set of

[PATCH v2 0/4] Allow cross-building of syslinux
Hi together, this is the second version of my cross-compilation patch serie. I'm sending it in the hope to get an honest review, and possibly see the patches integrated upstream. Those patches allow to build syslinux using a toolchain different from the host one by explicitely using the host toolchain for the utilities that are required at build-time / on the build machine. I am using the

error_messages_for trouble
I am trying so learn how to do custom validations. The validation works as expected, but I can''t get "error_messages_for" to display. How is the name of the object supposed to be formated? Where is this object created, the model or controller? What am I doing wrong here? #### Model ######################## class MyFolder < ActiveRecord::Base def validate # validation

(no subject)
Hi, I am using PXELinux to boot my workstations in MS-DOS :-) mode (using memdisk) and then I start winnt.exe to install Windows 2000. I was wondering if it is possible to hide some of the extensive information being printed during the initilisation process. I tried to use the graphical splash screen but it only shows up for a very short time. What about implementing some sort of delay in the

[PATCH 0/2] Cross-compilation patches
Hi there, I've had issue with the integration of syslinux into the buildroot project [0]. After some research, it turned out that we were wrongly using the host toolchain instead of the target toolchain to build syslinux. This gave us bigger issues (for instance) when trying to link syslinux with gnu-efi, that was built using the target toolchain. The first one forces ld to output i386

[LLVMdev] IndVarSimplify too aggressive ?
Hi all, The IndVarSimplify pass seems to be too aggressive when it enlarge the induction variable type ; this can pessimize the generated code when the new induction variable size is not natively supported by the target. This is probably not an issue for x86_64, which supports natively all types, but it is a real one for several embedded targets, with very few native types. I attached a patch to

[LLVMdev] PBQP & register pairing
I also considered this approach, but did not want to dive in the constraint handling for now. The PBQP path seemed easier at first sight --- and was easy to setup. And I always wanted to give a try to the pbqp :) I will add the hook to the pbqp and propose a patch if this looks clean enough. Very basic question regarding plot.Design...
Hello ALL! I have a problem to plot factor (lets say gender) as a line, or at least both line and point, from ols model: ols1 <- ols(Y ~ gender, data=dat, x=T, y=T) plot(ols1, gender=NA, xlab="gender", ylab="Y", ylim=c(5,30), conf.int=FALSE) If I convert gender into discrete numeric predictor, and use forceLines=TRUE, plot is not nice and true, since it shows values
