Bug in 2.4.0 Windows menu setup (PR#9277)
I've tracked down where this is occurring, but I don't know how to fix
it. Here's a summary:
If the language in Windows is set to simplified Chinese (i.e. Chinese
(PRC)) and message translations are installed, then on startup Rgui
crashes when it tries to install the console popup menu. The crash
comes when it gets an error trying to do a conversion using mbrtowc, and

Possible bug?
This morning I downloaded R-2.4.0 and install in under Windows. I customized
the installation and choose "Message translations",but I could not launch
Rgui.exe successfully( Rterm.exe worked fine). If I did't choose "Message
translations", Rgui.exe worked fine.
"Message translations" is Simplified Chinese.

[LLVMdev] How to enable c++11 in a llvm project?
Hi,
I use the following line to configure, which can enable the c++11 in the
project building. However, I don't think it's an elegant way to do the
trick.
$ CXX="clang++ -std=c++11" ../configure
I don't know why "-enable-cxx11" doesn't work as expected when I configure
the project.

Dear All,
I distributed the HTML style one year ago (

rewrote it with Latex. You can download it from the URL:

Wish it will be useful for Chinese R users.

plain text in Chinese can not be set
Hi there,
According to ?par, 'font' is an integer which specifies which font to
use for text, that 1 corresponds to plain text (the default), 2 to bold
face, 3 to italic and 4 to bold italic.
When I test Chinese character in pdf(), I found that 1 to bold face, 2
to italic, 3 to bold italic, 4 to symbol. and I don't find how to set

[LLVMdev] How to enable c++11 in a llvm project?
Hi,
I'm using the latest LLVM (r168491) built by GCC 4.7.2 (Gentoo masked
version). The clang++ runs as expected when I compile a hello program with
c++11 enabled.
I created a project (copied from sample/) where there are some C++ source
files with c++11 features. I configured my project using the following
command:
$ CXXFLAGS="-std=c++11" ../configure --enable-cxx11
However, I

Indexing Chinese?
My second (and hopefully last) question: is there any more news on
indexing Chinese characters and words? Searching online mostly returns
results from a decade ago or more, with nothing very conclusive. How
close is this to possible?
For the time being I'm doing some pre-processing on long strings of
Chinese, breaking on punctuation in order to avoid errors. But I have
