libf95.a: could not read symbols?
I'm sorry for having to post this, but I've run out of ideas. I've been trying to build R-2.8.1 from source for installation on FreeBSD 6.4 (seems to be working fine on osx) and keep getting the same results, regardless of how I set ./configure $ ./configure --enable-R-shlib --with-x=no --with-blas FFLAGS="-fpic" R is now configured for x86_64-unknown-freebsd6.0 Source

Compiling Matrix on Solaris 10 x86-64 Sun Studio 12
Hi all, I have trouble to compile Matrix packages on Solar10 x86-64 with Sun compilers. I saw some postings on this but am not sure how to solve this problem. sparse matrix tools
Dear R-Help list: I'm using the Matrix library to operate on 600 X ~5000 element unsymmetrical sparse arrays. So far, so good, but if I find I need more speed or functionality, how hard would it be to utilize other sparse matrix toolsets from within R, say MUMPS, PARDISO or UMFPACK, that do not have explicit R interfaces? Hi, I have installed Dovecot 1.0.0 on a FreeBSD6.0 machine with Exim 4.66 and Vexim 1.5. When I restart the machine, dovecot does not load properly. Problem with R using pgi compiler on x86_64

Developmental version of Matrix package for R-1.9.0
I recently uploaded a developmental version of the Matrix package, Matrix_0.6-1.tar.gz, to CRAN where it is in the src/contrib/1.9.0/Other directory. It requires some of the packages that will appear in R-1.9.0. Install package 'Matrix' problem
64-bit R-2.12.0 was installed on Sun SPARC Solaris 10. Compiler used is solstudio12.2. Attached is the configure script. I then tried to install a recommended package called Matrix. x86_64, acml-3.5.0-gfortran64 and lme4
I am encountering segfaults when checking the lme4 package on an Athlon64 system if I use the acml blas. R was built as a 64-bit application using the GCC 4.0.3 compiler suite including gfortran. The version of acml is 3.5.0 gfortran64. I do not encounter the segfaults when I compile R with R's built-in BLAS. The errors occur in the first example in lme4 in a call to lmer. It looks like
