aggregate syntax for grouped column means
I am calculating the mean of each column grouped by the variable 'id'. I do this using aggregate, data.table, and plyr. My aggregate results do not match the other two, and I am trying to figure out what is incorrect with my syntax. Any suggestions? Thanks. png with ggplot on windows xp
Hi Group, I posted this question on the ggplot list and was advised to try here also. The code below produces a plot as a png and pdf. The pdf looks great, and I cannot make the png look this way. I've tried various combinations of height, width, and dpi, but it has not worked out so far. Any suggestions to make the png look like the pdf? I received a response that the problem does not occur

doBy and Hmisc on R version 2.11.0
I installed R 2.11.0, and I don't think I can load the doBy package now. Help in running Stata dataset in R

TDM400 one way calls
Dear All I have a problem with a TDM400 card with 4 x FXS modules. The card carries extensions only and there are no incoming lines. I can make a call to the extension on this card with no problems. However, when I try and call out I just get a busy signal. I also get an error message (as shown at the bottom). Is this a problem? Configs below: [root at asterisk etc]# more zaptel.conf

data.frame() creates list?
I obviously don't know what I'm doing. I want to create "ByEBNum" as a data frame, but it comes out as a list. tdm400p fxs module busy
Dear All The setup is te110p with an 8 channels PRI to make and receive all calls. SIP phones throughout the company. TDM400p with 4 FXS modules to send/receive faxes and make credit card transactions. I have an analogue phone on the tdm400p for testing. I can receive calls to the exten. There is a dialing tone. Bold greek letters using plotmath
I'm trying to annotate some graphics using plotmath and finding out that the code I'm using isn't bolding the greek letters - it bolds the rest (once I adjusted the numerics to characters), it's just failing on the greek characters.
