Web Forum for SysLinux (Miller, Shao)
Hello, to quote another user, ?long time reader (practically) first time poster?. First off I must say I am not a huge forums fan myself (That is why when hpa declined boot-land?s offer I wasn?t surprised), however I do want to address some of the statements I read here, and give my two cents. ? There is another aspect to this, and that is that web forums suck for searching... it is very fast

PXE booting BartPE ISO file to Eee Pc (from Aviad Raviv)
i think u should have a look at the VM Appliance UDA... it is a linux destro already setup to support BartPE ISO using PXE, as well as flat installs of windows XP. the beauty of it, is that is uses a web based GUI to handle the common configurations. http://www.ultimatedeployment.org/about.html also, u can see a cople of movies i have made ab using it on youtube. www.youtube.com/hotfortech using

read.table error
R experts, I am working with a fairly large data set comprised of 563 rows by 116 columns including several different modes. I have been unable to read in the data set completely using the read.table function and the RGui (i.e. nearly half the total number of rows are missing from the data set along with the column names). The data does read in fully using Tinn-R's Rterm; however, at several

I would like to preform a t.test to each of the measured variables (sand.silt etc.) with a mean and sd for each of the treatments (up or down), and out put this as a table.... I am having a hard time starting- maybe it is to close to lunch. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. DPLYR Multiple Mutate Statements On Same DataFrame
Hi R Helpers, I have been looking for an example of how to execute different dplyr mutate statements on the same dataframe in a single step. I show how to do what I want to do by going from df0 to df1 to df2 to df3 by applying a mutate statement to each dataframe in sequence, but I would like to know if there is a way to execute this in a single step; so simply go from df0 to df1 while executing

Could the Odds represent weight in Generalized Linear Model?
Hello all, I'm sorry if my question seems basic. Im studying a responses (Yes,No) in a survey and, thanks to GLM I obtain the following relation with my variables : (Yes,No)~ ?0 + Age We note this this certain type of (Yes,No) response is linked to age (p<0.05 in glm) . After that we calculated : model1=glm(cbind(Yes,No) ~ Age + Times + Type, family=binomial) summary(model1)

Could the Odds represent weight in Generalized Linear Model?
Dear Lenny, You can do this by using Age as an offset factor. dataset$wAge <- dataset$Age * 1.02 glm(cbind(Yes,No) ~ offset(wAge) + Times + Type, family=binomial, data = dataset) Best regards, ir. Could the Odds represent weight in Generalized Linear Model?
Dear Thierry, Thanks a lot for this answer, I mean i want to obtain such model *Behavior1 = ?0+?1*Age* , the purpose is to obtain *?1*. I want to be sure that the odds value could be the ?1. Or how to calculate it ? Thanks again for your precious help. Lenny <http://www.avg.com/email-signature?utm_medium=email&utm_source=link&utm_campaign=sig-email&utm_content=webmail>

assign multiple variables at once
R Experts, I would like to create a series of variables without having to assign a separate line of code for each new variable. My dataframe (DF) contains two groups of linked variables (ESP1:ESP9) and (ECRL1:ECRL9). Within ESP1:ESP9 are abbreviated species codes (full dataframe contains 26 codes). ECRL1 represents the number of species x in variable ESP1 harvested, and so on through ESP9 and
