releveling a numeric by factor interaction
Can anyone help me with the necessary code to relevel a numeric*factor interaction term in a linear model? I would like to report the estimate, std. error and t-value for the reference factor. First, I estimated a linear model with dummy variables and was able to retrieve model estimates for the reference factor using relevel. for example: > summary(update(mod.mod, . ~ . - dummy + +

multiple winbind instances
Hello I've already tried to post this question some time ago, maybe this time somebody could help me. I try to authenticate users using FreeRadius in few AD forests. The problem is as follows - it is possible to have multiple winbind instances, each binded to a different AD domain and each being interacted by a different instance of ntlm_auth? Or maybe it is possible to bind one winbinnd to

Help on R Coding
Hi all, I am kind of stuck of using Predict function in R to make prediction for a model with continuous variable and categorial variables. i have no problem making the model, the model is e.g. cabbage.lm2<- lm(VitC ~ HeadWt + Date + Cult) HeadWt is a continuous variable, Date and Culte are factors. SUMMARY: Can't 'save-as' from MS Word
Thanks a million to Wendell Wilson, who offered a solution to the problem we've been seeing regarding saving a document in MS Word. I know we really do need to upgrade to at least 2.2.6, and I am planning it - but this gives us little more breathing room with everything else going on. Once again, appreciate your help! --Gene Original Question: At 04:35 PM 11/14/2002 -0800, I wrote:

GEP with a null pointer base
> glibc does accept patches...or are you talking about two separate instances of this problem, both in glibc and something else? I originally saw this in a benchmark (which it may be possible to get changed) and only afterward found the glibc idiom. The most recent glibc code is a bit more complicated than I represented below. If you look up obstack.h you can see what’s there now.

Download daily weather data
I'm writing a program that will tell me whether I should wear a coat, so I'd like to be able to download daily weather forecasts and daily reports of recent past weather conditions. The NOAA has very promising tabular forecasts (http://forecast.weather.gov/MapClick.php?CityName=Ithaca&state=NY&site=BGM&textField1=42.4422&textField2=-76.5002&e=0&FcstType=digital),
