cumulative userdb ?
in Dovecot 2.0, is it possible to have kind of "cumulative" multiple
userdb ?
that is, for all users:
- extract some attributes (let's say: uid, gid, home) from a first
userdb (Passwd for example),
- an extract some other attributes (mail for example, but overwriting
those from the first userdb in case of redundancy) from a second userdb
(LDAP for example) ?
This is *different*

upgrade 1.0.15 -> 2.1.7: MBOX index compatibility and performance
Hi,
we just upgraded our mailserver from Dovecot 1.0.15 to Dovecot 2.1.7.
We use MBOX format (due to legacy compatibility), system users,
PAM+GSSAPI auth, filesystem quotas, and indexes located on a separate
filesystem:
mail_location =
mbox:~/mail:INBOX=~/mail/INBOX:INDEX=/var/cache/dovecot/indexes/%16Hu/%u
The 2.1.7 configuration files have been rewritten based on default
templates

got too little data ??
I just switched in a hurry one of our mailbox servers from UW-imapd to
Dovecot in an attempt to address performance and stability problems.
This server hosts ~5500 accounts, ~2000 are daily used, ~600
simultaneous IMAP connexions in rush hours, and lots of POP ones. Some
accounts may be accessed simultaneously with IMAP and POP.
The system is :
- Debian Sarge (x86 with amd64 kernel)
- MBOX files

Help with Loop!
Dear experts,
I'm new in R and trying to learn by writing a version of the Perceptron
Algorithm. How can I tell in the code below to stop the iteration when the
condition in the "for loop" is not satisfied for all training examples?
Thanks in advance for your help!

lmer p-vales are sometimes too small
This concerns whether p-values from lmer can be trusted. From
simulations, it seems that lmer can produce very small, and probably
spurious, p-values. I realize that lmer is not yet a finished product.
Is it likely that the problem will be fixed in a future release of the
lme4 package?

Dovecot SSL-Certificate
Hello,
I've a not really dovecot specific problem with my certificate. Since
the OpenSSL documentation isn't what I expect to be at least good, I
hope someone here can give me a hint how/where fo fix it; I've created a
root-Certificate with almost untouched openssl.cnf and issued a
server-certificate for dovecot. This cert and it's key I placed in
somewhat like /var/dovecot.

months (by the way english is not my native language so sorry about the
grammar).
I have a problem with a xyplot on lattice, it's supossed to print different
lines for each river (Rio) conditioned by a chemical parameter (Var) and the
state at which it's located (Dpto) against the year the sample were taken

Analysis of unbalanced data in nlme or car
I am analyzing a dataset on the effects of six pesticides on population
growth rate of a predatory mite. The response variable is the population
growth rate of the mite expressed as ln(Nfinal/Nstarting) of the mite,
where N final the population of the mite at the end of the experiment
and N starting the population of the mite at the beginning of the
experiment. Each of the six treatments was ran

Help on neural network
Hi all,
I am trying to develop a neural network(Multilayer perceptron) with the
package 'NEURALNET'. I have some doubts on it,
1. Whether this procedure taken care about categorical input variables- The
reason is I could not find any option to describe type of variable in the
arguments?
2.The algorithm is providing input variables generalized weights like this,

sem: incorrect parameter estimates
Hello.
I am getting results from sem that are not correct (that's assuming
that the results from my AMOS 4.0 software are correct). sem does not
vary some of the parameters substantially from their starting values,
and the final estimates of those parameters as well as the model
chisquare value are incorrect. I've attached some code that
replicates the problem. The parameters in

R-packages for Ubuntu 15.10 wily
Dear Dirk,
I just upgraded to Ubuntu 15.10. It seems that the r-packages are not
upgrading although deb files exist on the cran repository.
For instance, r-cran-rjags is back to 3-15-1
On the repository, I saw that the 'Sources' and 'Packages' files in wily
folder show vivid version of packages although dated to yesterday :

[PATCH] Fix const struct to work with C++ compilation
This allows the libopus source files to be compiled with a C++ compiler,
by ensuring that the "extern const MLP net" declaration is visible at
the point of the "const MLP net" in src/mlp_data.c. Otherwise it will
default to static linkage in C++, resulting in an undefined symbol.
Note that if compiled with a C++ compiler the symbols will be mangled,
so don't do that if
