[LLVMdev] T-Shirts &| Supporting LLVM
I was poking around, but I didn't spot a PayPal link for the t-shirts
and/or supporting LLVM. Any follow-up from the pre-meeting
discussions?

centos friends?
Hello All,
I want to ask about CentOS and money. Please do not start some kind of
shitstorm over this, it isn't productive.
I have just been looking at archive.org to see when the paypal option went
missing from the donate menu at centos.org. I can't pin it down, but it was
there on October 16, 2010 and isn't now, so that's the information I have on
that point.

Call to funding NUT infrastructure
Dear NUT Community,
It's not something you've been used to from me, but...
I've been funding the NUT infrastructure on my own for many years now.
I'm currently in a situation that is a bit hard, financially speaking.
I've recently renewed the networkupstools.org domain name.
But now comes the server in itself (BaseInstance Cloud slice on Gandi).
It's not that many bucks

Trouble Donating on centos.org
Hello,
I tried making a donation via the centos.org website but was blocked by
PayPal. I tried today and a few weeks ago.
The error I got in both instances was:
"The card you entered cannot be used for this payment. Please enter a
different credit or debit card number."
This strikes me as a strange response. It didn't say the card was
declined; it said it "cannot be

Donating
I've never really liked all these donation buttons in web pages, or
receiving donations at all, but as some extra money could make my life
easier in the next few months, I thought I'd give it a try.

(And if you're wondering how I could still promise those 1000 euros for
a security hole, I've a credit card but I'd rather not use it :) Also

Donations to Xiph
I have a few thoughs and questions about donating to
Xiph that I hop you have a minute for. Here we go:
== "Who donated what" list ==
As it seems we don't have a "Who donated what" list.
I thought creating such a list could increase motivation
to donate to some parties. What I currently have in mind
would be to start listing donations from now on below

Funds for OpenSSH from Solaris and OpenSolaris users at Blastwave
Dear OpenSSH friends :
The Blastwave.org project is focused on providing quality open
source software to Solaris and OpenSolaris users. Please know that
your software is valued and one of the very first software packages to
be offered by Blastwave well over 3 years ago. I have personally
scraped together $100 for you but don't know where to put it yet. You
have a PayPal link on your

Supporting R/Membership
Dear R Users,
I know issues like this have come up in the past. I am wondering how
many people would be interested in an online mechanism for donating to
the R Foundation or for becoming supporting members. Right now, the
link for it is somewhat buried on the R home page, and once you get
there, the options are to mail or fax a form. IIRC, Paypal was not a
good option due to some fees, but

How to send in donations via check? and some other suggestions.
Greetings.
I have just successfully updated a RH-9 file server to CentOS-3.1. I'm
VERY impressed. I have a client who has 4 Redhat servers (1 x 7.3 and 3
x 9.0) that I would like to migrate to CentOS-3.1.
Question: My client is willing to send a donation for these boxes but
they just want to send you (caosity.org) a check that will cover the
next couple of years.
Who do we make the

Asterisk native sounds now available!
Hello everyone,
As I promised at eTel last week, I have finished up work on my
"Asterisk Native Sounds" project. Here's a little diddy from astlinux.org:

Asterisk Native Sounds are a collection of audio prompts for Asterisk.
They will improve quality, reduce CPU usage, reduce latency, and (in
some cases) eliminate the need for G729

more obvious contribution mechanism?
can we put a "how to donate money to R" on the R webpage? perhaps with
a paypal button?
even better, because I would like to donate some funds from my research
budget, could the R-project possibly sell some trinkets for a high price
for support? it is difficult to explain to a non-profit org (like yale)
why i want to donate its money to another non-profit org. they would be

Release of centos-3.3 ISP bill
It turns out that the release of Centos-3.3 was so popular, that it threw us
way over the threshold of our ISP's, and now we are stuck with a _very_ large
bill (as in an estimated 6TB of transfers). While in one hand I am ecstatic
that we are so successful, but on the other hand, that is coming out of the
developers pockets. The developers should be the last ones footing these
bills (and this

Make a donation via PayPal? (was: [R] Monetary support to the R-project)
Dear R developers
I understand that this is not a proper r-devel message, but it still
touches to the organisation of the R project.
I would like to make a small donation to the project, but I am not
comfortable with sending my credit card details via post or mail and,
as echoed elsewhere on r-help, would prefer to go through a generally
accepted service such as PayPal.
Would there be any

Trying to fund my Linux habit...
Okay, it's a bit sad having to stoop to this, but I'm desperately trying
to at least not have to shell out large amounts of my own money to get
gear for Linux development...
I'm thinking about setting up a PayPal account, but since there are some
recent, ahem, issues with PayPal and security I'm a bit hesitant. I'd
like to ask people if they would be inclined to donate
