Problems drawing a colored 'rug' in the Lattice 'densityplot'
Hi All, I'm trying to add a 'rug' representation of my data to a plot created with densityplot(). While I can do this in the simple case, I can't do it properly when I include the "groups" argument. Ask for histogram
Hi, I use a vector of data to draw the histogram, but it is different from the graph by SAS. Can you check it for me please? b is a column vector of 4332 hist(b,probability=T,breaks=30,col='lightblue',ylim=c(0,1)) rug(b) When I used rug, I find the records are smaller than 4332. Is there any way of adding text to a density plot? I have had a go using the text() function but I think the error is because this function doesn't work with densityplot(). Alternatively, I understand I can achieve pretty much the same result if I plot a density kernel estimate using plot() (which allows text()), but I do prefer densityplot(). Also, is it possible to specify the dimensions

density and jpeg
Dear R community, I am using densityplot (lattice package) for a large dataset and wish to print it to a jpeg (the pdf is huge). R crashes consistently. Am I doing it wrong or is densityplot incompatible with jpeg? Need to compute density as done by panel.histogram
Hi, This might be a simple problem but I don't know how to calculate a random variable density the way panel.histogram does it before it creates the actual density rectangles. The documentation says that it uses the density function but the actual code suggests that the hist.constructor function (which does not seem to be easily accessible). Cumulative Density Plots (Hmisc/lattice)
I have been using the ECDF function in the Hmisc package to produce cumulative distribution function plots. The problem is that for small datasets the steps "look bad" (not my characterization but from the client). Is there a way to get the same information but smoothed? I have tried the densityplot (lattice), which gives a smoothed line, but this does not give the cumulative density.
