locate the rows in a dataframe with some criteria
Hi, netters,
This is probably a rookie question but I couldn't find the answer after hours of searching and trying.
Suppose there'a a dataframe M:
x y
10 A
13 B
8 A
11 A
I want to locate the rows where x >=10 and y="A". I know how to do it to vectors by using
which, but how to do it with the dataframe?
Thank you very much!

[LLVMdev] Extracting an AST to Graphviz using Clang
Hi Alex,
Would you recommend any specific link in respect on how to compile in debug
mode? I downloaded the Mac OS version on the website so I did not compile
anything. I am sort of a rookie on bash but I should be able to figure my
way around this.
Also, is there any particular reason why this functionality is only
available on debug mode?
Thank you so much for the fast reply, was driving me

[LLVMdev] Extracting an AST to Graphviz using Clang
Hi Carlos,
You can just download the source code from
http://llvm.org/releases/download.html#2.9 and then read
http://llvm.org/docs/GettingStarted.html which should tell you how to
compile it.

extracting one element of correlation matrices from a list poroduced by the 'by' statement
I am producing 2X2 correlation matrices by a class variable. I need to
extract a vector of correlation coefficients only. I am doing that in a
loop (see below) but I am sure there would be a simpler way. Please
help!

subsetting a list of matrices
Hi all,
I have an object that looks (roughly) like the following:
l <- list(a = matrix(rnorm(9), 3), b = matrix(rnorm(9), 3), c =
matrix(rnorm(9), 3))
l$a[3,] <- sample(c("Message 1", "Message 2", "Message 3"))
l$b[3,] <- sample(c("Message 1", "Message 2", "Message 3"))
l$c[3,] <- sample(c("Message 1",

[LLVMdev] Extracting an AST to Graphviz using Clang
Hi Joey!
Thanks I just replied your message on stack and I was actually looking into
this right now. Is this the option? I just wanted to confirm:
- make [-j] - The -j specifies the number of jobs (commands) to run
simultaneously. This builds both LLVM and Clang for Debug+Asserts mode. The
--enabled-optimized configure option is used to specify a Release build.
The -j parameter is

[LLVMdev] Extracting an AST to Graphviz using Clang
Hi,
The -j option just says how many processes are started to parallelise the
build.
The default option is to build Debug+Asserts, so unless you add any extra
arguments when you run './configure', you should be fine!

Multihomed puppet-server Multidomain SSL Problem
Hello List,
I have a problem with the CA on my Puppetmaster. This Puppetmaster is
connected to different Networks with different sub domainnames. The Puppet
clients connecting via different Interfaces. There is no routing between
subnets. Only one subnet can connect successfully. This is because the
subject in the Certificate is the name of this subnet. All other clients get:

Segmentation fault using integrate()
Hi all,
Running R 0.90.1 on a RH 6.1 system. Installation of the
integrate_2.1-2 package went smoothly. My code contains a loop
in which integrate() is called several times in each pass.
I get a segmentation fault after what seems to be a random number
of calls to integrate(). Debug output shows:
Program received signal SIGSEGV, Segmentation fault.

Extracting only the non-repeated rows of matrices
I have 2 matrices. One which contains a complete set of row combinations.
Another which contains a subset of the first. What I would like to extract

instance if the following were my two matrices,

[2,] 1 2 3 5

How to split a matrix into a few matrices?

I try to split a matrix into a few matrices, for example, suppose that I

Extracting vectors from matrices
There is probably a simple and obvious answer to this, so sorry for
wasting your time...
I have a matrix of predictions from an proportional odds model (using
the polr function in MASS), so the columns are the probabilities of the
responses, and the rows are the data points. I have another column with
the observed responses, and I want to extract the probabilities for the
observed responses.

Extracting data from matrices
Dear R list
I have an m * n matrix P and a vector V of length n containing indices for
rows in P.
For each of the m columns I want to extract the value in the row specified
by V, and put these values into a new vector W of length n.
At present I am doing this with a for.... loop, but I imagine there is a faster
way that doesn?t involve loops.
If anyone knows the way I would be most grateful.
