I know almost nothing linux, and don't really know that much about Asterisk
(proper).. but I was 'pulled' by this subject and grabbed an
<mailto:Asterisk@home> Asterisk@home installation CD (version 1.3) and just
went with it. Newbie doesn't quite describe it, I'm a banker.. this simply

Strange echo phenomenon (double tandem)
I have a strange problem with echo.
My setup includes a Grandstream HT-488 which is both an FXO and a FXS.
I noticed last evening that if I called the FXS through my asterisk box
from my cell, the resulting connection was fine for me at the cell end,
but produced dramatic and conversation ruining echo at the FXS of the
HT-488.
Today I realized that if I call out from the same FXS to my

Call Groups
Hello.
I was hoping someone might be able to help me with the following problem:
When an incoming call comes into to * I would like it to attempt to find
the first extension in a group of extensions that isn't busy and to send
the call to that extension. Should that extension not be picked up or
if the phone at that extension is on DND I would then like * to send the
call to voice mail

round(4.5) does not work (PR#9439)
Anything that has 4.5 in it will always round to 4. For example 24.5 becomes 24 and 34.5 becomes 34. Or 1234567894.5 will become 1234567894.

print format for difftime
Has anyone written a function that will print a difftime in the form:
hh:mm:ss
or
yy-mm-dd hh:mm:ss
depending on the actual size.
(sloppy notation for months/minutes, but surely you get the point).

Rubynation DC April 9-10
Just a note to remind everyone that the RubyNation conference is
around the corner, less than one month away. We are getting close to
sold out, so help us push this thing over the top!
This year we have more (and better!) presentations, including a
keynote presentation by the person who IMO really started all the fuss
with Ruby and Rails, Dave Thomas.
We also have a bunch of quality speakers

Rounding like in finances
Hello,
I need to have a "kaufmaennisches Runden" function.
Is there already something like that?
It means: rounding up the 5, instead of rounding it down.
So, 245.455 would give 245.46
I found no option for this.
Maybe there is a package for it?

only one data set there "data"
-> View data set
I can read it
-> Edit data set
showing 25 rows of data. Clicking the box shows a thick border around it. But
I couldn't

A different error in sample()
Good day,
The use of "rounding" also doesn't make sense. If The number is halfway between two integers, it is rounded to the nearest even integer.
