Exporting objects plotted with plot3d() - rgl package
Dear all,
Can anybody tell me how to export a 3d figure made with the plot3d
function? I'm careless about whether it's still interactive or not in
another format, as long I can get it out of R.
Thanks!

help with ets function in forecast package
I have been trying to use the ets function in the forecast package on a
daily time series (ts2 is a ts object with frequency =7). However when I run
the following code I get an error related to etsmodel. I have looked at ets
and I can see that there is a call to the function etsmodel, but I cant seem
to find info on the ets function anywhere. Does anyone know anything about
the etsmodel function?

Help with a loop
HI:
I need ideas on how to make this code shorter (maybe with a second loop?).
The code as it is works, but in this case I only have 14 samples, but it
will become insane with more, so I need a way to make it more automatic. The
problem is that the output from ts1, ts2, and so on is a vector with more
than one value, so I do not know how to solve this.
Thanks

concatenating two successive time series
Dear Helpers,
I am looking for methods and tools to compare and then to concatenate
two successive time series. They are both in the same frequency and they
describe one phenomena. There is no time gap between them. The problem
is that the method of measurements has changed between both time series
and they are no statistically the same. I would like to merge them to
receive one homogeneous

how to optimise cross-correlation plot to study time lag between time-series?
Dear R-help,
How could a cross-correlation plot be optimized such that the relationship
between seasonal time-series can be studied?
We are working with strong seasonal time-series and derived a
cross-correlation plot to study the relationship between time-series. The
seasonal variation however strongly influences the cross-correlation plot
and the plot seems to be ?rather? symmetrical (max

Hi all:
Below is s a dump from script/console in development env.
Am I not supposed to be able to find the record later and use the

May be this helps:

GLMM and crossed effects
Hi again. Perhaps a simple question this time....
I am analysing data with a dependent variable of insect counts, a fixed
effect of site and two random effects, day, which is the same set of 10
days for each site, and then transect, which is nested within site (5
each).
I am trying to fit the cross classified model using GLMM in lme4. I
have, for potential use, created a second coding

permutations in R
Hi. Does anyone know of a function which will take as input a number n (or a
set of n letters) and will give out, one at a time, the permutations of n
(or of those n letters) as a vector?
So that I can use the permutations one at a time. And such that it will
exhaust all the permutations with no repeats.
For example if n is 3, I would want a function which I could use in a loop

accuracy of a neural net
Hi. I started with a file which was a sparse 982x923 matrix and where the
last column was a variable to be predicted. I did principle component
analysis on it and arrived at a new 982x923 matrix.
Then I ran the code below to get a neural network using nnet and then wanted
to get a confusion matrix or at least know how accurate the neural net was.
I used the first 22 principle components only for

Getting value rather than formula in RGoogleDocs
Is there an easy way to read the value of the cells rather than the formula? So
for instance in a cell whose value was created by simply using the value
from the cell immediately to the left in the Google spreadsheet I would
prefer to get the value rather than =RC[-1]
When one exports with Google Spreadsheets as a csv then that does not
happen.
I am using the following line of code in R

Replacing values in a data.frame/matrix
Hi all,
Suppose we have the following matrix
m <- matrix(c(1,2,3,2,1,3,3,1,2), ncol = 3, byrow=T)
where in each row each number occurs only once.
I'd like to define a permutation, e.g. 1 -> 2, 2 -> 1, 3 -> 3 and apply
it to the matrix. Thus, the following matrix should result:
m.perm <- matrix(c(2,1,3,1,2,3,3,2,1), ncol = 3, byrow=T)
i.e. each 1 should map to 2 and vice

n Realizations of a Stochastic Process assigned to dynamically generated variable names?
I am interested in creating multiple (say 1000) time series, from a
given stochastic process, of length 250. I want to refer to each
realization with its own variable name, of the format say, tsn, where
n is the n'th simulation. i.e. ts1, ts2, ts3, ts4, .... , ts1000
The way I am thinking of doing this is placing the following code
within another loop, and the 'tsn' assignment should
