Comparing Points on Two Regression Lines
Dear R users: Suppose I have two different response variables y1, y2 that I regress separately on the different explanatory variables, x1 and x2 respectively. I need to compare points on two regression lines. These are the x and y values for each lines. x1<-c(0.5,1.0,2.5,5.0,10.0) y1<-c(204,407,1195,27404313) x2<-c(2.5,5.0,10.0,25.0) y2<-c(440,713,1520,2634) Suppose we need to

Plotting two ellipses in one graph
Dear R Users: What I need to do is to plot two ellipses in the same graph (one for each group). You can use either X1 or X2 as the X-axis and the other variable as the Y-axis. Also I need to show the 95% C.I. or P.I. of the overlapping part of the two ellipses, and for each ellipse separately. Data can be found at http://www.usm.maine.edu/~aaboueissa/Rhelps/dataelipse.txt Thank you so

Error in R2Bugs
Hello, I am running a GLMM using R2Bugs, but am getting the below error message. I am including the entire output, although the 2nd and 3rd lines seem to indicate the problem. Note that I do define N (it is an integer) and send it to a datalist (see the R commands and model below). Interestingly, when I put all of this into OpenBugs directly, the model runs. I do have reasons, however, that I

Multiple connections to a server by same user, using more than one user name, not allowed.
Hi, I am using samba 2.2.7, configured with winbind, connected to a domain. I have publically shared printers that are done via user map. I also have many shares that I need to authenticate for, due to access rights. With one of the printers installed on my XP laptop, if I try to connect to a share, but inputting my "DOMAIN\user" and "password" I get the following error:

Public Printer Share with security=domain
Hello, I am running samba 2.2.7 with winbind. The winbind stuff is working fine, I am joined to the domain, and can authenticate samba via the domain user accounts. I also however would like this machine to server as a public printserver that requires no authentication. Is this possible? my smb.conf looks like this: [global] workgroup = ALCHEMY template shell = /bin/false

Followup on Comparison between...
To answer questions which I got on my e-mail inbox: 1. I don\'t have the tests on the web page, mainly because they take too much space, both the graphs and the wave files. But anyone with an Aquarium CD (Aqua) can replicate the tests by ripping the first 30 seconds of Doctor Jones. I\'m trying to organize my information to compile a kit in order to run the tests efficiently.
