OT Futility Analysis
I beg your pardon if this is too off topic. I am posting here since I hope to find an R solution to my problem. Please indulge me while I give a little background about what I'm trying to do. I'm on a DSMB for a clinical trial. The Steering Committee for the trial has asked us to perform a futility analysis on their primary outcome which is a time-to-event endpoint. The trial was not

SPLUS Seqtrial vs. R Packages for sequential clinical trials designs
Hello Everyone,   I’m a SAS user who has recently become interested in sequential clinical trials designs. I’ve discovered that the SAS based approaches for these designs are either too costly or are “experimental.” So now I’m looking for alternative software. Two programs that seem promising are SPLUS Seqtrial and R.   I recently obtained a 30 day trial for the SPLUS Seqtrial add-on and have

Milestone
Well I now have a 4.0 server at a solid checkpoint. Before I start the chore of setting up SAMBA and LDAP. Part of the delay was I did not copy all of the needed DNS files, and I have to reerad the BIND book. So I want to be able to get to this point again easily. I did not note down what options I had selected during install. Is there some way in the install log to figure that out? Is

maildirmake, shared folders
Does dovecot support shared folders, maildir style? I've set it up, using the maildirmake from debian maildrop to create folders. I have a number of as-yet unresolved issues, so I haven't been able to test with many clients. It's interesting that dovecot manages to present folders as siblings (rather than children) of INBOX. But mutt, at least, doesn't seem to see the shared

6.4 : How to enable epel and the rpmfusions??
I've installed 6.4 on an old T30 ThinkPad, and I'm in the midst of setting it up. I can't seem to get an rpm of Pan for it, nor even to do yum update. Mousing around fedoraproject eventually got me to http:// rpmfusion.org/Configuration/ and from there to downloads for the free, nonfree, and epel packages (along with a caveat that tells you -- *after* you've gotten rpmfusion

[PATCH 0/2] vdpa/mlx5: Fixes for ASID handling
This patch series is based on Eugenio's fix for handling CVQs in a different ASID [0]. The first patch is the actual fix. The next 2 patches are fixing a possible issue that I found while implementing patch 1. The patches are ordered like this for clarity. [OT] What file can I use to change Ubuntu 9.10 display characteristics?
This question is vaguely related to R in that I have managed to wedge the netbook computer that I use for demonstrations of R and I would like to know how to un-wedge it so I can continue to give lectures about R. I have an ASUS eee PC running the netbook-remix version of Ubuntu 9.10. The X server in 9.10 is a little different from earlier versions in that it does not require an explicit

fUtilities removed
When setting up my new machine, I had the surprise to see that "Package 'fUtilities' was removed from the CRAN repository." This is problematic for my work. I use many of its functions, and it will complicate things a lot if other programmers want to use my previous code in the future. Plus, nowhere can I find the justification for its removal. Thanks for any info on this

problem with R (akima, fUtilities) in Ubuntu 10.04
Dear all! I'm using R 2.12.1 in Ubuntu 10.04. Problem is that when using functions like interp (package akima) and akimaInterp (package fUtilities), I get different results every time for the same data set. I've checked the interpolated results, and two examples (in attachment) have different sum of NA values. Also when I subtract the x,y,z values from two interpolations of the same data

How to nicely display R code with the LaTeX package 'listings'?
Dear expeRts, What's a 'good' (nice-looking, easy-to-read) setup for the LaTeX package 'listings' to display R code? The two versions below are partly inspired by the settings of the package SweaveListingUtils and http://r.789695.n4.nabble.com/R-How-to-format-R-code-in-LaTex-documents-td816055.html Any suggestions, comments, or improvements are welcome. Cheers, Marius ###
