From the head of the README file: ===== R packages for Ubuntu on i386 are available. The plans are to support at least the latest two Ubuntu releases and the latest LTS release. As of October 2007, these

R with tcl/tk 8.5
Hi List, Is it possible to tell R to use tcl/tk 8.5? My R package seems to depend on libtcl8.4.so. However, in Windows it seems to be possible to set TCL_LIBRARY and MY_TCLTK. Is there something similar possible in Linux? I have installed: $ rpm -q R R-2.3.1-1.fc5 $ locate libtcl8 /usr/lib/libtcl8.4.so /usr/local/lib/libtcl8.5.so

I'm obviously missing something, so any help (including ways to debug this!) would be greatly appreciated. Here's some more info: The guest is
